2. Spa Day with Friends

Of course, no real girls' weekend would be complete without a little spa time.

4. Out to the Vineyards

See the Southern Palatinate. And taste it.

A girls' weekend in the Palatinate without wine?

All around Landau, the landscape is dotted with vineyards, small wine-growing villages, and wineries. The Southern Wine Route deliberately highlights wine, cuisine, and shared experiences as key elements of a girls’ weekend in the region. Visit a winery together. Sample your way through the wines of the Palatinate. Or simply take a stroll through the vineyards and stop for a bite to eat afterward.

Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, or a genuine Palatinate spritzer? You’re best off deciding that once you’re there.

5. Pack your hiking boots

But please, take a break

Don't worry. We won't necessarily send you on a 25-kilometer hike. A short hike or a stroll through the vineyards is more than enough.

If you're looking for more, head toward the Palatinate Forest. There you'll find hiking trails, scenic overlooks, castles, and, of course, the traditional restaurants so typical of the Palatinate.

And let's be honest:

A love of hiking is great. But a craving for mountain huts is part of it, too.

It’s precisely this blend of nature and enjoyment that makes the Southern Palatinate such a pleasant destination for a short getaway. You can stay active without having to turn it into a sports weekend.
